    Hello.
I’ve been using smush for a long time now, and just realize it’s been creating small size images, but not compressing the main uploaded image. The main images are the ones use everywhere on the site. It is very important that the images be clear and sharp.
Is there a way to test smushing the main images to see what they look like before running them all through the smushing?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    I trust you’re doing well!

The small images are thumbnails, and these are created by WordPress. Please see reference:

The free version of Smush plugin, I’m afraid is not optimizing original images, only the thumbnails that are created by WordPress site. The Smush Pro, however, does original image optimization.

As the free version of Smush optimizing thumbnails, these are the ones that can be compared.

You may deactivate “Automatic compression” in Smush > Dashboard > Bulk Smush, upload an image twice, optimize though the Media Library only one image. Locate thumbnails either through a post or via FTP and compare both versions.

    Have a good day!

    Cheers,
