• We got spam-bombed in BuddyPress forums to the tune of 6000+ topics over the course of two days. I deleted the users who were responsible, but in spite of using the “delete all content” option, the content remained (perhaps that option doesn’t recognize BP topics as “content”?). So how to delete all those topics, especially now that they aren’t even associated with a user?? I didn’t want to do 30 at a time on the admin pages…yikes! This plugin rescued me! I was able to tell it to delete all “topics” (a custom post type) that were created after a certain date (and I must say I was fortunate that we did not have any posts AFTER the date of the attack).

I should also note that even though I thought the plugin was hung from trying to process too many posts, each time I reloaded the page I noticed that the “count” of posts for that posttype had decreased a bit more. So I just let it keep going, and it eventually completed in the background. I’m sure this is a server timeout setting (long on my site) but it might help someone to know that.

Thanks for a great and feature-filled plugin that saved my bacon!
