Upgrading

  • I am trying to upgrade and am being asked for a host name. What are they asking? I am using myhosting.com to host my site. Is this what is the host name?

  • That’s your FTP host name. If you don’t know that info, check your hosting control panel or ask your host.

    Generally just your domain name.

    Make sure you rename your wp-content folder to wp-contentxxx or something so it won’t be written over by the upgrade. I rename the .htaccess and wp-config files too so they won’t be written over.

    Remember to rename them banck to normal when you are done.
