The sitemap can be read, but it contains errors

We checked on the sitemap generated by the Yoast SEO plugin — https://www.aquilatauheny.com.br/sitemap_index.xml

and can confirm that it is loading as expected, along with the other sitemaps within it such as the individual post, page, and product sitemaps, so we don’t see any issue with Google being able to access and read the URLs.

Could you try removing the sitemap and re-adding it again in Google Search Console? You can follow the steps in this article — https://yoast.com/help/submit-sitemap-search-engines/#google-remove

We ran the HTTPS version of your sitemap index in the tool that you used and got no errors. You can check it out here.

Could you please translate the specific error message you got from Google Search Console so we can possibly try and check further? Thank you.

@valmy02 We checked the sitemap in an XML sitemap validator and no issues or errors were found which you can see here.

Michal already told me that, I clicked the link and the sitemap validator doesn’t show any error message when I use HTTPS – The sitemap I submitted to GSC is on HTTPS, so it shouldn’t return an error. Sadly it keeps showing this message “Sitemap can be read, but contains erros”.

The sitemap is in the right format, we can access and it shows the page correctly, I have no idea what is causing this.

We are sorry to hear that you’re still experiencing the issue. We have tested the relevant sitemap index by using cURL and can confirm that it is technically correct. So, Google shouldn’t have any issues at all to crawl it.

At this point, we are out of all the ideas why Google search console is unable to crawl the sitemap index even when it is completely valid and technically correct. Therefore, we recommend you please reach out to the Google search console team to see if they can show some light on this.
