    <meta name=”category” content=”tag_name”>

    instead of using [hmd_post_cats], I would like to pull the tags of the post instead.

    It’s not a current feature, but I like the idea and have added it to the to-do list for a future update. Thank you for your feedback.

    Just to follow up with this, the next plugin update adds a tags shortcode:

    [hmd_post_tags]
