My site has acquired Malware and Wordfence isn’t picking them up on the scans so I have to manually remove them. In addition when I run the scan I get weird server errors see below:

[Sep 03 05:12:50] Scan terminated with error: There was an error connecting to the Wordfence scanning servers: cURL error 60: SSL certificate problem: format error in certificate’s notBefore field
[Sep 03 05:53:39] Call to Wordfence API to resolve IPs failed: There was an error connecting to the Wordfence scanning servers: cURL error 60: SSL certificate problem: format error in certificate’s notBefore field
[Sep 03 05:54:21] Call to Wordfence API to resolve IPs failed: There was an error connecting to the Wordfence scanning servers: cURL error 60: SSL certificate problem: format error in certificate’s notBefore field

The malware is showing up as javascript injected in WordPress posts. In addition as you see from the above it’s doing something weird with the date, the scan above was run on 6/2. I have WordPress premium but premium support has been very slow to respond and seems unable to or unwilling to help resolve the matter. Any help is appreciated thanks!

  • Hey @seantgreen,

My apologies for the slow response, we’ve recently seen a large influx in support requests. Can you please start a new ticket, and inform me of the ticket number here and we’ll take a closer look?

With that said, there was a temporary network issue that’s now resolved. Are you still experiencing this?

    Thanks,

    Gerroald

    Hey @seantgreen,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’ve gone ahead and marked this thread as resolved.

Please feel free to open another thread if you’re still having issues with Wordfence.

    Thanks,

    Gerroald
