Post Pages Grid Block error with Gutenberg plugin

    Using atomic blocks 2.8.3 with Gutenberg plug-in 8.2.1, giving me error for post-page grid block “This block has encountered an error and cannot be previewed.”
    I tested disabling and enabling plug-ins on my staging site, and I found Gutenberg plug-in to be the cause for breaking post-page grid block. I’m not using any experimental features for Gutenberg plug-in. I tested this on Firefox and Microsoft Edge(old non-chromium version), and they both give me the same error. Is anyone else having the same issue like mine? Help please.

  • I encountered a similar issue for all my Atomic blocks whereby the “This block has encountered an error and cannot be previewed.” messages were displayed in the editor but fortunately they are working fine on the frontend.

    Downgrading WordPress to 5.3.4 fixed the problem and hopefully the developers to push a fix soon

    Hi there,

    Are you still experiencing this error? The Gutenberg plugin has a habit of breaking and fixing issues in follow up releases.

    I tested locally on latest Gutenberg 8.5.1 plug-in, and Atomicblock post and page grid works without any issues now without giving the “cannot be previewed” message any longer.
    Thank you.
    I would like it as a feature request if post and page grid can also show custom post types and not just posts and pages.

    I second @8sbkgr request to customise post/page grids by entering a specific url.

    Your current block is still hands the best post/page grid option on wordpress, but this would make it really useful for customising home pages and adding in recommended articles at the end of each post.
