How to remove content associated with IP rather than domain

    Hello,
    I manage a LAMP stack with my website on it. When I initially built the site I uploaded two font files before I redirected the ip to my domain. I have been left with two files that I don’t know how to remove. I have used plugins such as Better Search Replace but it has left this behind.

    It appears like the address below:
    https://35.225.65.226/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Futura-Bold-font.ttf

    as compared to:
    https://yellowgreenservices.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Futura-Bold-font.ttf

    How can I fix this? Thank you

  • Hi @leomt ,

    Better search and replace does the work only in the database. It doesn’t handle the files.

    Maybe the IP address you are getting is hardcoded in the files. I will suggest to search in wp-content/themes or wp-content/plugins where you have added these fonts.

    Find the IP address and replace it with the desired domain manually.

    It’s searching the files in wp-content/uploads folder so make sure you have the desired font files in uploads/2020/03 folder.

    I deleted all versions of the related Futura .tff file in the wp-content/uploads directory and it seems to have solved my problem. Reuploaded the font as .woff for a change.
