Email Error: Invalid Grant

    Hi there, I keep getting this error on my site but the site is connected and has been working great for weeks. The test emails come through as well, what could be the issue?

    EMAIL DELIVERY ERROR: the plugin WP Mail SMTP v2.0.1 logged this error during the last time it tried to send an email:

    Mailer: Gmail
    {
    “error”: “invalid_grant”,
    “error_description”: “Bad Request”
    }

  • Hi @foxesblog,

    The error message means that your Google account isn’t connected because the keys are reset. Is there any chance, you’ve reset your account password or enabled two-factor authentication?

    To resolve this you’ll need to regenerate tokens by going to the console.developers.google.com > Credentials page. Click on the Edit screen for your credentials and Reset Secret after that. Here’s the button you need to click: https://take.ms/2EQIn

    Alternatively, you can go through all the steps in our setup tutorial again.
