2.8.6 wp-config file missing the closing tag!

I hope this is the right section to post this. I just wanted to alert the mods that in the current full download of 2.8.6, the closing tag

?>

is missing from wp-config-sample.php

When doing an automatic upgrade, this goes un-noticed because wp-config is not overwritten, however this will cause problems for new installations.

This was pointed out on a support thread for another issue (blank screen).
