Test Email works, Contact Form 7 doesn’t

  • Hi,

    I have configured all SMTP settings properly and tested with Test Email. It works, but when I submit my contact form 7 form from the website, it throws error “There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.”

    Below is my SMTP settings:

    SMTP Host: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
    Type of Encryption: SSL/TLS
    SMTP Port: 465
    SMTP Authentication: Yes
    SMTP Username: [email protected]
    SMTP Password: Password generated from App Passwords from Yahoo Account setting.

    Any help will be appreciated.

  • Hi, who is your host? Also, you might need to contact Yahoo to help you with this.

    One other question. If you disable our plugin and try to submit a message via Contact Form 7 does it work?

    Hi, my host is siteground. I guess Yahoo settings are working properly and we don’t need to contact them as the test emails are working properly.

    I disabled the plugin and submitted the form. It works, the only challenge is, sometimes the email goes in spam.

    Hi, have you spoken to your host about this issue? They should be able to help you.
