Images shake after page load

I checked your site in Windows 10 using Chrome 83.0.4103.61 but I couldn’t see any shaking. Are you able to reproduce the problem in a private window?

@nextend_ramona Yes. I opened a new private window in Firefox and got the shaking. More detail: It is a left-to-right motion of perhaps a millimetre. Once the slider goes to the next image and so on, the shaking is no longer visible.

I’ve seen a lot of bugs in the past 15 years, but this is new.

Are you zoomed in on the browser by any chance? I was able to reproduce this by zooming in by 150%. It looks like our pixel snapping code causes this, and we’ll try to figure out something for that ASAP.

@nextend_ramona Well, the browser was at 90%. Going to 100% made it worse but …

The CSS solved the problem. Nothing wrong with applying a magic wand!

That’s odd, I couldn’t see it on 100% zoom. In any case, I’m glad the code worked. We’ll look into the code of our pixel snapping and see if we can avoid this problem. I’ll let you know.

We’ve looked into this problem. Originally, we needed our pixel snapping codes because of a Chrome bug, that appears to have been fixed since: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=936006#c6

So we decided to remove these codes. I’ve run some test and all seemed to work well. I’ve uploaded the version with the fix here for you:

Can you give it a try?

You will need to go to your Plugins list, delete your current Smart Slider 3 (don’t worry, your sliders will stay) and install this new version:

Of course, you’ll be able to update regularly when we release a new version.

@nextend_ramona I deleted the old plugin version, uploaded/installed your zip, flushed the server cache, and did a browser force-refresh. The slider looks rock solid to me!
