All orders not getting email notifications and being marked “pending payment”

For the past 24 hours, all orders guests are trying to place are not going through and they are showing up as “pending payment”
Hasn’t been an issue until today. Nothing has been changed in the past 24 hours. Any suggestions or ideas why this is occurring?
