I tried switching themes but the url is very similar – width and height baked in

I tried using a global override but it has no effect. It remains as above/

tried giving it a huge image – seems I broke whatever in woo commerce is re-processing the images.

Warning: Illegal string offset ‘width’ in /var/sites/t/thisnow.be/public_html/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/includes/class-wc-regenerate-images.php on line 276

Guessing this is what overwrites it all. At least thumbnails are now sq. It would be really great if product images could be cropped by Cloudinary.

    Hi @danielahross,

Is the URL that you’ve shared:
    https://res.cloudinary.com/de1c27uwb/image/upload/$wpsize_!woocommerce_single!,w_960,h_650,c_scale/v1590147068/Screenshot-2020-05-21-at-14.38.31.png,
where the global transformations are omitted completely is retrieved from the src of the image tag or from any of the breakpoints within the srcset attribute?

    Thanks,
    Raz
