How does this plugin integrate with WP Multisite?

    Hi ya,
    So this Badging plugin looks awesome for our needs for a convention, where we want to add a bit of fun to the online experience.

    For reasons (that we think are good ones) we are currently set up as a multisite, using sub-direcotry structure.

    This is to keep theming easily separate, not to mention other data.

    However, the whole multisite is supposed to act like one website. With consistent movement between all the subsites.

    So Badges earned should follow the user through all the relevant areas… This will involve moving between the subsites of the multisite.

    Can Badge OS support that?

    Hi @normancates

    Thanks for reaching out to us. The BadgeOS plugin works in the MultiSite WordPress environment but at the site level. What it means is that using BadgeOS on multisite, each site has its own badges and its own settings for the badges. A badge acquired on one site’s user profile is not visible on another site’s user profile.

    However, we wish to add a centralized Badge/Points/Ranks assignment mechanism for multi-sites, so that a Badge assign to a user is visible on all sites and also the badge itself is available on all sites in the future roadmap of BadgeOS.

    We look forward to listening to your valuable suggestions for the improvement in BadgeOS and also if you have any requirement of BadgeOS that you want to get catered in your multi-site setup.

    OK. Well, sadly we really need it to work with multisites and have all the information across all the sub sites.

    So until that is a feature, I fear this just won’t work for us.
