Hueman Theme menu won’t update after editing.

    Hello,

    Thank you so much for the Hueman theme. It is wonderful.

    I have a strange situation where I change the header menu items but it will not update after editing and saving the changes. I created a menu some time back with some main headings and “sub-items” in drop-down menus. I wanted to replace these menu items but for some reason, they didn’t show up on the edit menu page. I added the new menu headings and sub-items I wanted to replace the old items and saved the changes. When I went to the blog home page the new edits I made did not show up and the old menu headings were still there. What’s more confusing is when I use the “visual editor” which shows a live preview of menu edits the old menu items aren’t there and the new menu edits I make show up as expected. I click save and then go to the blog home page and once again the new edits aren’t there and the old menu headings are still there.

    If anyone knows how I can get rid of the old menu headings I would appreciate your guidance. I will not be able to simply delete the old menu items in the menu editor because they, unfortunately, do not show up there in spite of the fact they show up on the header menu on the home page.

    Thanks for your feedback ??
    About your menu issue, it doesn’t look specifically related to Hueman. To make sure of this, you can temporary switch theme ( for example to the default Twenty Twenty theme) and see if it changes anything.

    Great troubleshooting idea Nicolas. I activated the 2020 theme and was surprised at what I saw. The theme shows as active in the themes selection page but when I go to the home page of the blog the Hueman theme still shows instead of the 2020 theme. Ordinarily, I would suspect a cache issue but that was what I suspected early on and I cleared the browser and DNS cache at the outset of this. I also cleared the blog’s cache. I checked the home page in two different browsers with the same result. Very strange Twilight Zone I’m in here.

    UPDATE: I contacted my hosting provider and they were able to change the theme with no problem. I obviously have some sort of caching issue. I have cleared my DNS cache which has always solved this issue before. Not sure why it isn’t working now but at least I know what’s going on. Thanks for your help.
