Currently it looks like the confirmation email to the client is being sent from the website it was made on(I can confirm this by checking email sent from WordPress in an email log), but it seems like the email to the restaurant is made from your servers using:

    no-reply[at]reservationdiary[dot]eu

What is the correct way to change this? I thought it was from the “SMTP Settings” of the plugin, see here: https://prnt.sc/seanpa

But after saving the changes, the plugin seems to clear the password field(why?) and the only change the notice now in the emails to the restaurant, is that:

The from email is what I have set in the SMTP settings, but the From Name is still “Reservation Diary”

Can you explain what’s happening here?

Side note, the plugin is a little confusing to get started with and figuring out what does what

I’m asking because even though I set the SMTP option, the email to the restaurant has the from email address i set, but not the from name i set.

Also, I’m still not able to see those emails in the log on the website, though im seeing the confirmation email in the log.

So are emails to the restaurant still being sent from your server?

    Hi,

If you set SMTP option, emails are send from your server directly, not via WordPress. Where do you look for logs?
