[NSFW] Form ignores custom attachments limits

    Hello,
    It seems like the form only accepts attachments of a few dozens KB, refusing to deliver even files of just 400 KB.
    If I attach a photo of 3-4-500 KB (or more), the frontend displays “Your message was sent successfully. Thanks.” and then I receive nothing, whereas if I attach a photo of 30 or 40 KB, it delivers the email.
    I have set the attachments limits to 10 MB and it’s still not working, whether I write it as “limit:10mb” or “limit:10000000”. It’s definitely not a problem of my host, as I can receive emails with heavy files to the same address (belonging to my domain) I put into Contact Form 7’s settings.

    The theme is a custom one based on the standard WordPress one (although it was heavily altered).

    Although neither of these elements seem to bear any importance in the matter, as I’ve just disabled all plugins (but Contact Form 7) and reinstated the standard Twenty Twenty theme and nothing changes.

    Contact your host for support. They might put a restriction on attachment file size.

    I just did. The limit for my host is 100 MB.
    It doesn’t surprise me, as if what you suggested was right, I basically wouldn’t be able to upload photos or videos of more than 90 KB from the dashboard of WordPress, which would have worried me years ago when I created the site and it fortunately isn’t the case.
    Could you look into this yourself now, please?

    Try switching to the default theme and deactivating all plugins excluding Contact Form 7 and Classic Editor.

    Why you are advised to deactivate plugins and switch to the default theme.

    I already did (see my second post, 17 hours ago).

    Anyway, it has JUST started working again (really, 10 minutes ago) and I swear I haven’t changed one single thing. In fact, ALL emails from the latest 3 or 4 days (probably the time during which it has been having issues) have suddenly arrived in my inbox in storms of 10 or 20.
    What do you think could be the culprit? Should I be worried by such a behavior? Could it happen again?
