Suggestion: links in cells
-
This is an ‘ergonomics’ or usability suggestion!
My table has 170 rows – ok, in the admin that takes up a bit of space, requiring lots of scrolling to get to some of the table manipulation and options at the bottom of the page. For example, to insert a link in a cell I have to….
1. scroll to bottom of page (170+ rows down!)
2. click the insert link button
3. click the pop-up message about needing to click in the cell
4. Scroll back up the page to my cell
5. click in the cell and then do the linkage (which is very good, by the way!)It’s a lot of scrolling and clicking…and has to be repeated all over again for the next cell…and the next…because I have to link 170 rows!
SUGGESTION:
Is it possible for the right-click function on a mouse to ‘launch’ the link window? (or maybe the advanced editor window). So I could right click in a cell and hey-presto, up pops the link dialogue without any scrolling up and down a long page. It would be SO MUCH quicker! The functions offered by table manipulation and options are great! But the ergonomics of accessing them, repeatedly, from the bottom of a long page are very tiring.
It is just a thought, maybe to speed up the use of TablePress.
