I tried to put lists in my front page template. When I accidentally used a placeholder in the template that wasn’t yet assigned to a plugin list, it created a WordPress database error. The message was something like “Cannot communicate with database.”

When I removed that bad placeholder from the template, the site loaded fine. Except now, no changes that I make are updating on the website. It seems like the WordPress software is not communicating with the database.

I have completely removed the plugin, but there is still a list showing on my homepage (at the bottom, on the right). What did this plugin do to my database? Please help!

UPDATE: I have no idea how, but the list finally disappeared. Sorry for the alarm.
