Customizer CSS output file slows down site

The custom css file output from the customizer input that is generated like this:
https://www.domain.com/?custom-css=ffbc577c68
needs nearly 1 sec to be delivered from the server, in firefox dev tools I see that the file is loaded always from 900ms – 1000ms. That slows down the site a lot.

Is this a known issue?

I can provide a demo link with htaccess credentials if needed.
