• When I create a page I have “Allow Comments” ticked off but when I go to the page there is no comment box.

    Anybody know why?

  • What pages are you referring to? There is a comment form available off of your posts. Are you talking about static pages you have created?

    The ones created in Write > Write Page.

    The default page template doesn’t yet display comments.

    Any idea when it will? Or any plugins to make it?

    Its beta. got to be paitent!

    You can just add the comment_template() line from index.php.

    What comment_template() line?

    wait around till it’s done, or hack your way around. Certainly don’t wait around for someone to hack around before it’s done.

    In other words – beta users are on their own, helping with testing is fine, but expecting instant resolution is not.

    This is a theme issue. Switch to the classic theme and you’ll see you can post comments to pages. Kubrick (the default theme) does not.

    Modify the kubrick theme file page.php to include the comments or use a different theme.

    When you post to these support boards do try and use a topic that is informative and not generic like “WordPress 1.5”

    The topic of the post should describe what you question, comment, or problem is not the name of the software which is obviously WordPress 1.5 (It’s the only beta out there of WordPress.)

    Sorry for the bitching, but it irked me.
