Hi,

We have enabled the Yoast breadcrumb, but it is not reflecting in the backend. It’s showing as below where it should be https://www.staffordglobal.org ? Courses > PGCE or https://www.staffordglobal.org ? Teaching & Education > PGCE

https://www.staffordglobal.org ? UK Degrees Course Index

Every tutorial mentions about the website breadcrumb. Here are the steps we have tried.

1. Updating the breadcrumb title through page edit.
2. Changed the taxonomy of UK Degrees Course Index, through the breadcrumb setting.
3. Tried to implement the code in the header file, but it’s distorting the complete design.

We had our breadcrumbs schema markup in our old HTML website, but not able to update through the Yoast plugin.

Hi @anupamasam,

We checked the post located here: https://www.staffordglobal.org/course/pgce-postgraduate-certificate-in-education/

It seems the issue is being caused due to the way the custom post types are configured.
We see that, while all courses are children of the /course/ slug, this slug returns a 404. Instead, it seems that the parent is /uk-degree-course-index/.

Can you please provide us with more information about how the custom post type is configured?

Also, can you send us a screenshot of your settings in SEO > Search Appearance > Breadcrumbs?

Regarding the implementation of the breadcrumbs code, this depends on your theme. You’ll need to insert the breadcrumbs code in the correct place in your theme file and, if needed, customize it using CSS.

Sorry for the late reply.

Kindly clarify the following.

1. if we change the slug /uk-degree-courses-index/ to course, will the breadcrumb titles for the courses work fine?
2. We have tried to update Beadcrumb title for the country pages which has only 1 level is not reflecting. eg; https://www.staffordglobal.org/uae/
