Tile Size Issue With Justified Layout

  • Hi, once again, thanks for this amazing plugin, there really is no better plugin for a direct integration to Flickr!

    I am having a layout issue which is really strange and makes no sense.

    I am trying to use the “Multiple Photo” option for Flickr and using tags to pull back the required photos, this works perfect!

    I am using the “random” or justified layout which looks the best.

    If I insert a gallery to a post using this method and select “Preview Post”, everything looks amazing as shown in this image….

    However, this is where it goes strange, when I publish the post, the formatting goes wrong and I end up with this….

    I have tried on different browsers/computers and the same thing happens. I when the post is displayed in a browser window and I resize the window, the formatting is fixed.

    Any help would be amazing! I have tried with other layouts and they seem to work ok, but they don’t suit the sites. As a temporary measure I am using the Masonry, but would love to change it to Justified.

    A URL for testing would help. But I suspect what is happening here is that you have a lazy loading plugin at play. A lazy-loading plugin generally automatically substitutes an original image with a placeholder with a different aspect ratio. But the justified grid layout computation relies on the original images being loaded, because it uses the dimensions of the original to figure out the best fit. When the originals get substituted with placeholders, the calculations go for a toss.

    If you disable your lazy loading plugin (for this page at least) you should be fine.
