Email address verified but WooCommerce still thinks it needs to be

I’m setting up a new account for a customer of mine. The WordPress.com account was set up a little while ago, but I just found out that it was never verified when I logged into WooCommerce and tried to view subscriptions. I went back to wordpress.com and resent the verification email, and then did the verification myself. However, after logging out of WooCommerce and logging back in, WooCommerce still thinks the email needs to be verified!
What does it take to get WooCommerce to see that the email for the account is now verified? Apparently, it’s not automatic once you have verified your email.
