    Good evening

After running a suggested update the Plug-in does not appear.
To reinstall fails with an error message like “Directory already exist”
I’m unable to run a restore of my older version because of this issue.

    Many thanks for support

Login to your server via FTP.
Delete the plugin folder from wp-content/plugins
You can install the plugin again.

    Hello

Thank you for your suggestion, which works.
But two thins are worrying me:
    – How can this happen, that the plugin in no longer available?
    – In case of any crash or data damage, how should I restore my data?

You can always install a fresh WordPress and import the backup.
I think the issue is caused by file permissions. Maybe you or your hosting has applied permissions that do not allow PHP to replace the plugin files.
