    The user signed up for an account and put in their email address [email protected] but woocommerce sent an email to [email protected].

    The person that owns [email protected] responded and said she did not create an account.

    Why did this happen? Could the user have changed their email after creating the account? That is the only explanation I can think of.

    It is highly unlikely that Woo has added a dot in the email.
    To verify or change you can visit your admin panel -> Users and edit or verify the email there.
