Dashboard link to View Site is Broken

  • Hi,
    I just uploaded wp to hostgator. When I log into the admin and click on View Site from the dashboard it goes to https://www.example.com and I get this error.

    You have reached this web page by typing “example.com”, “example.net”, or “example.org” into your web browser.

    These domain names are reserved for use in documentation and are not available for registration. See RFC 2606, Section 3.

    I searched the forums and didn’t find any information about this error.

    Can anyone help?

    Shot in the dark…

    Check Settings>>General and make sure your blog address and wordpress address are both correct.

    Is this a new installation? or an existing blog with a new problem?
