My new client had a 10-year old Perl routine that did a lot of date arithmetic relating to SEC reporting for publicly-traded companies. Yikes!
I knew it would be a challenge to find the right plugin to tackle this job. Based on firsthand experience I also knew what plugins weren’t up for the job as some of the household names in form creation were weak when it comes to calculating 60 days prior to one date while 10 days prior to another, all while excluding weekends and holidays. And my reporting requirements were equally elaborate.
It was easy to see CFF was up to the challenge when it came to reporting the results in a format of my design, but could it perform the convoluted date calculations? I wasn’t sure, but I jumped in hoping a bit of tech support would pull me through. Did I luck out? I did indeed. Their support has been critical to flattening my learning curve and now I’m able to deliver a modern design to replace my client’s antique Perl-generated reports.
CFF has made me a hero. Good value, too. I can’t wait to apply it to my next client…
