When i updated the plugin it caused a fatal error making it unable to open my WP admin page.

the error was reported by WP audit itself. here’s the error message:

This plugin failed to load properly and is paused during recovery mode.

An error of type E_COMPILE_ERROR was caused in line 262 of the file /home/xxxxxxxxxxxxx/public_html/wp-content/plugins/strong-testimonials/strong-testimonials.php. Error message: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/home/xxxxxxxxxxxxx/public_html/wp-content/plugins/strong-testimonials/admin/menu/class-strong-testimonials-menu.php’ (include_path=’.:/opt/alt/php73/usr/share/pear’)

I was able to log in my admin with the recovery mode on but this needs to fixed asap. Thanks

Hi @sociobrightwp,

Can you please see if you have this file: strong-testimonials/admin/menu/class-strong-testimonials-menu.php ?
If you do, and you have a cache plugin please clear it and let me know if this fixes it.

Where should this file be located?
I can’t find an admin directory on the main plugin directory.

this is what i can find in the /inlcude/ directory: https://nimb.ws/HBf5eA

so yes, I can confirm that the folder:
‘/home/xxxxxxxxxxxxx/public_html/wp-content/plugins/strong-testimonials/admin/

doesn’t exist at all

But what about the existing testimonials? It took me a lot of time to add them and don’t want to lose them..? is there a way to transfer them?

Please go to Plugins > deactivate Strong Testimonials > and then delete it.
This way you will keep the testimonials. If you click Uninstall it will delete them as well.
