  • Hi @sophierose,

Is Kirki embedded with your theme or are you using the plugin from the WordPress repository?

Have you recently moved your site between servers/changed the domain?

What happens if you select a different font, just for testing? Do you get the same URL?

    Thanks!

    Hi @davidvongries

It came with the theme, Sober, I didn’t directly download it from the wordpress repository.

We had to change the organisation of the root folders a couple of weeks ago due an issue with my hosting. It stayed on the same server it just moved from:

    /home/omgitssm/public_html/gingerjarfurniture.com/

    to:
    /home/omgitssm/gingerjarfurniture.com/

If I select and save a different font I get the exact same error message but with the different woff file URL obviously.

I’ve tried clearing my cache to see if that would reset the folder organisation, but had no luck.

    Thank you, Sophie

    Hi Sophie,

this may be an issue with the server configuration. Somehow the theme is still getting the old paths. Did you run a database search & replace to change URL’s after changing the structure on the server?

I wonder why it uses the server path like that. It should be getting only the URL.

    Best,
    David

@davidvongries Yes, we have done search and replace.

Ah I thought it should only be getting the URL and not the server paths, who should I turn to then to help? Is it Kirki or my theme?

I’ve cleared all caches multiple times, I’m not sure what else I can do?

I would try to reach out to the theme developer as well. Can you search your database for “public_html” to see if you find any entries?

If the theme author is running the latest version of Kirki within their theme, there should be a fonts folter in the wp-content folder. You can try to delete the entire fonts folder so Kirki will basically recreate it.

If there’s no fonts folder, please try to reach out to the theme developer and ask them to update Kirki to the latest version. This may solve the issue ??

    Best,
    David
