    Hi,

We are very interested in this plugin.

    A few questions:

    – Currently, we have Recaptcha on the site and require users to activate their registration. This keeps away 99.99% of the spammers. Will this give us 100% spammer free? Or this might be an overkill.
    – We installed WP Approve User and it broke our password reset link. Is this going to interfere with password reset?
    – We have a procedure to synch users who sign up from the subsite to the main site where the registration is handled by BuddyPress. Will this also require users who sign up from the subsite to be approved by the admin?

    Thanks a lot.

    Jing

We have tested your product. And got all answers. It works well with our site.

    1) it does not interfere with the function to reset the password.

    2) it does not break other functions.

    Thanks a lot

I’ll chime in with some extra information anyway, even though you marked as resolved.

    1. We aren’t a spam prevention plugin per say, we’re an extra level of moderation plugin for after the fact. A given user is still able to click through to activate their user as per BuddyPress’ activation email setup, but if a site has our plugin installed and requiring moderation, that user will not be able to access the BuddyPress/bbPress areas based on the settings chose. Just requiring moderation would be a “read only” state, no interaction. A private network would be restricted to their own profile only.
    2. Nope, we don’t interject in the registration process in that type of way. What we do is attach a small amount of user meta marking that user as moderated, upon completed user setup. We then check access based on that meta.
    3. If the user meta data for each user is included in that sync’ing, then probably not for needed re-moderation.
