I have multiple photo frames that are setup as individual variable products i.e. 6″x4″ silver glitter photo frame.
The variable is the orientation of the frame i.e. portrait or landscape which has no effect on the SKU as they are the same physical product, just laid out differently.

Upon selecting the appropriate variable, it will load our customisation product from fancy product designer. This all works fine and the variables use the main parent SKU.

But I would also like a page called ‘Silver Glitter Photo Frames’ on this page you can first select the size of the frame and then the orientation. Great I set it all up and it’s perfect. Apart from I can’t assign the correct SKU’s as woocommerce says I can’t use duplicate SKU’s.

Surely there is some way I can have multiples of the same product on one page? I’ve trawled the forums and I’m all googled out. Can someone please tell me I’m missing something really glaringly obvious here?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

@olivereio Two variations (or two products, for that matter) cannot share the same SKU.

If you want to add product options that do not affect inventory, and do not require an SKU, you can use something like Product Add-Ons. That will let you add the same type of functionality, like a dropdown to select orientation, without needing to manage stock for each option.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
