Hello, I was very pleased with the Complianz plugin voor GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent plugin, but now I want to embed a Youtube-video into an event, throught the Events Calender, a plugin by Modern Tribe, and the video does not show. I have Youtube-vidoe’s in my normal posts: they show after I have given the cookie-consent. When I look with my debugger, the class .cmplz-video.cmplz-hidden has been added to my iframe-tag. Is there something I can do?
    With regards,
    Joke Portegies

    Hi Joke, @joke-brandhorst-portegies,

I did a quick reproduction of your issue: https://lestemplato.sites.qsandbox.com/event/youtube-test/

This is with 2017 theme, and The Events Calendar. There’s a console error in the browser which relates to the template sidebar.

Could you change templates -> Events Settings -> Event templates, and see if the same problem persists?

    Let me know! Aert

Thank you, Aert. I have 2 options in the templates: my standard page template or a standard event template. When I choose the second, I still have the error. I can’t view your reproduction, because I was asked a code I can’t deliver.

    HI @joke-brandhorst-portegies,

    The code 000,

Could you disable the cookie blocker and let me know? I will see if I get the same error in the browser,

    regards Aert

My problem is nog solved yet, Leon. I thought I left another message for you, but I can’t seem to find it back.

“There’s a console error in the browser which relates to the template sidebar.” Can you tell me an error code of this console error?

    Hi @joke-brandhorst-portegies,

Can you check what happens if you disable the cookieblocker entirely? You can do this on the general settings page.

Then we can check if the .js error on your page is caused by the cookie blocker or not.

I disabled the cookieblocker now. Check it out…

    Hi @joke-brandhorst-portegies,

Sorry for my late response, missed your last reply. It looks like you disabled Complianz in the meantime.

We have done another test, it worked without issues with Event Manager and embedded Youtube.

As we can’t reproduce the issue, I’m closing this thread for now. If you need any assistance, or if you have new info which can help to reproduce the issue, please feel free to contact us.

O sorry, in my world Complianz was equal to “the cookie-blocker”. I found the setting and disabled the cookieblocker now. And the youtube-film is shown correctly.

    Dag @joke-brandhorst-portegies ,

Great to hear that your issue is resolved! Could you tell us what you think of the plugin or the support by casting your Review here? We’d love to hear your feedback!

Uhm, when I disable the cookie-blocker, then an important part of the functionality of Complianz is lost, by my understanding? That is not what I want. So I am afraid that my issue is not resolved yet. The cookie-blocker is the reason I chose for Complianz.

I now see that with the cookie blocker disabled, you still have jquery errors on those pages. As a result you don’t see the cookie banner either.

the error is coming from a javascript in your theme. Did you customize perhaps the theme by removing a sidebar or something similar? As it is a WordPress core theme I think it has to be caused by a customization.

You can also try switching to a different theme to test it.

I think the problem will be resolved if you fix the jquery error that is thrown by the theme.
