Auto “more” link in Archives Only

  • I am looking to make a “… [More]” link automatically after a certain number of words in the Archives pages only that links to the full article. Does anyone have a plugin that provides this functionality or know the code to do this. I have been attempting to use the “the_excerpt” function but it only creates “…” when what I want is a link.

  • This plugin will display “read more” links after a certain number of words, both on archive and category pages. The comments have more information on implementing the plugin.
