The strings you mentioned above are already added to the pot file in our plugin. Check to make sure your French po file is up to date.

I look at the file: plugins/wordpress-simple-paypal-shopping-cart/languages/wordpress-simple-paypal-shopping-cart-fr_FR.po and this string (“Cart is empty”) do no have French translation > https://i.postimg.cc/4xkzGskK/wordpress-simple-paypal-shopping-cart-fr-FR.jpg

And “Items” do not exist at all int the .PO file…

And for the “items” string, this string not ready for translation: https://i.postimg.cc/mkWHsyJv/items.jpg

There is no:
__("Items", "wordpress-simple-paypal-shopping-cart");
anywhere in the file wp_shopping_cart_shortcodes.php

Hi, can you share a screen capture pointing to the word Items so that I can know exactly what you are referring too. Also can you make a list of all the words you are trying to translate.

For instance and as I said first I need:
“Cart is empty”
“Items”
> In French

Aside this, I also notice that your If statement do not work: $item_message = ($num_items == 1)? "Item" : "Items";
Because even if my cart is empty, it always display “Items” instead of “Item”

In the meantime I have change it myself:
$item_message = ($num_items <= 1)? "Item" : "Items";

The translation strings for the following shortcodes: [wp_compact_cart] and [wp_compact_cart2] has been added in the latest version 4.5.0. Please check the latest version and let us know if you have any issues.
