I’ve been at this for hours and still no results. The image for the linked page won’t show up on my FB page.

First, I installed Yoast SEO to input the og tags and when I update the post the debug will recognize that the tag is there, but will throw this error:

Provided og:image URL, https://macflynn.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/dragondusk1.jpg encountered an unknown error.

When I Scrape Again (without updating the post at all), the following errors are thrown:

    Curl error: 61 (BAD_CONTENT_ENCODING)
The ‘og:image’ property should be explicitly provided, even if a value can be inferred from other tags.
    The following required properties are missing: og:url, og:type, og:title, og:image, og:description, fb:app_id

Yoast informed me I don’t need the fb:app_id tag, but the others are there in the source code. What am I doing wrong and/or missing?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @macwillard,

    Thanks for reaching out.
We checked the source code of your post and we noticed that the quotation marks are missing. Furthermore, there is a free area between image and content.
    <meta property=og:image content=

We noticed that the URL creates the error:
“Curl error: 61 (BAD_CONTENT_ENCODING)” in the Facebook sharing debugger as well.

Therefore, please check the source code of your post to make sure that the social media can retrieve the Open Graph tags correctly. This is essential to display your post correctly in your social media.

If you need help please get in contact with your administrator to solve this for you.

Fortunately, I’m the administrator. Your mention of the missing quotation marks solved the problem (W3 Total Cache plugin is a little overzealous). Disabling that plugin solved the image issue. Thanks for the help, but don’t touch the resolved button again until it is resolved, otherwise your users will miss out on this issue with that particular plugin!

Did you manage to sort the issue with W3 Total Cache @macwillard ?
