    I have tax added to every product except Garlic (food) and when I test the cart, no tax is added to anything. I’ve set it up in both WooCommerce and in Square (the payment platform) as well as going to the tax and standard rates section in the WooCommerce plugin settings. I’ve added in my country and province, as it is only one province that I will sell it (pick up only). I’ve also made sure that the Standard tax is on each item (apart from garlic).
    What am I missing? I’ve synced the square info and tax isn’t coming through anywhere.

    Hi there,

    Just to make sure – where are you looking for those tax rates? On the single product page, cart, checkout or somewhere else entirely?

    Also, are taxes set to calculate based on the shop address or the customer address? Depending on the answer here, you’ll want to make sure that both the shop AND the customer have an address configured that matches with the tax rate settings.

    If you’re unsure yourself, please do the following:

    • Share screenshots of your tax setup and tax rates
    • Share screenshots of the product setup, specifically the tax class settings
    • Share a billing/shipping address that we can use to test with on your site

    I’ve set it up in Square, as well as in WooCommerce. I’ll do some screen shots so you can see what I’ve set up.

    It looks like the issue is in the rate setup. The State (province for you) code should not be ONTARIO, but should be ON.
