Hi, I’m using your plugin with Woocommerce and Flatsome Theme and minimal plugins. (Contact Form 7, Paypal for Woocommerce, Woocommerce Stripe Gateway, The SEO Framework). The caching seems to work well in that if I click round some categories and products they get added to cache and performance for those pages is good but I found the cache seemed to randomly purge. I had the Cache Lifespan set at 0 (so it should never purge except manually I believe).
I then ran a test where I clicked round some products to load them into cache then updated the price of one product (doesn’t even have to one that is cached) and whole cache was purged. I repeated the test with Cache Lifespan set to 30 days and same result. It does this every time.

I hope you can help as the plugin has real potential if I can get the purging under control.

    Regards

Looking like I’m going to have to use another plugin as it’s almost a week since I raised this and no response. Pity.

    Hi there,

Sorry for the delay. I’ve just tested and can confirm the issue. We’ll look into it.

    Kind regards,

    Marc.

Thank you Marc, look forward to hearing from you.

    Hi,

We’ve found the issue, so this should be fixed in the next release.

Hi, that’s great, thank you. When do think it will be released?

    I have a related question:
If I set the the Cache Lifecycle to 0 then does this mean no cache will never be cleared unless I manually clear cache for individual pages or purge the cache?

Do you see any problems with keeping cache files for a very long time? It’s just that the products and pages are rarely updated and we don’t use stock levels.

    Regards

We have a new major feature being tested, and blocking the release for now until we think it’s ready, but hopefully in the next couple of weeks.

That’s correct, unless if one of the actions as described in the documentation is performed.

No, if there’s no content or design change, there’s no reason to renew the cache.

    Marc.

Have you any news regarding the new release and this fix?

    Hi,

Yes, the main cause of this was identified, and a fix should be in the next release. The timing of that release depends upon the testing of other unrelated features.

Hi, I’m sorry to bother you with this but I really need to know when this will be fixed. I realise it’s part of a bigger release but I can’t really wait much longer as it’s been a few weeks. If it’s in the next few days I can wait but if it going to be weeks I’ll have to move try a different plugin. If you could give me some indication it will help me plan.
