Hi, Ive been using the plugin on my website, with EDD and google analytics and it’s been working fine until recently (february)…

The ecommerce events are not tracked anymore…

My website is a small website, no big evolutions, no new plugins…

Any advice on this situation or a procedure with wich I could test the tracking ?

    Thanks a lot

    Hi,

I noticed that you use a cookie consent plugin, but I have no way of expressing consent. No cookie notice bar or popup.
I think that plugin blocks tracking before consent is given. Please investigate this possibility.

    Thanks for your answer.
I deactivated the corona information banner

Could you check it again ?

The corona information bar was not the problem. The plugin implementing it, a cookie consent plugin, is still active on your website, but I can’t see the consent popup. Try to deactivate that plugin and test again. Also, delete any cache you might have.

Please give a clear procedure step by step, I’m not a tech guy.
How do you test ? with which tool ?

    thanks

For quick Facebook pixel testing, you can use the Pixel Helper Chrome extension: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/facebook-pixel-helper/fdgfkebogiimcoedlicjlajpkdmockpc?hl=en

Unfortunately, I can’t tell why the plugin doesn’t work on your website. You will need to check if there is a conflict with one of the other plugins, or with the theme.

You said it stopped working some time ago. Do you remember if you made any changes back then? Like installing a new plugin?

You can try a few things:

    1. Disable plugins one by one and check with Pixel Helper if the issue is fixed. I would start with the Cookie Consent plugin.

    2. Do a test with one of the WordPress default themes. Test with Pixel Helper if the problem goes away.

I am sorry for not being able to help more.

By the way, you have a very nice website.

    Thanks a lot !
I’m using the google analytics pixel to track EDD purchases,
I’m going to try to disable the cookie consent one, but then, how can I check that it’s properly triggered for google analytics ?

I didn’t make any recent change appart from the wordpress update

Sorry, I am more used to questions about the Facebook Pixel.

There’s also a Google Tag Assistant for Chrome: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/tag-assistant-by-google/kejbdjndbnbjgmefkgdddjlbokphdefk?hl=en

And Google has something called Real Time Reports that will show you data in real time. Quite useful for testing.

By the way, the Google Analytics tag is working on your website.

I am just not sure how to order something. As far as I understand, when you click the Purchase link you are sent to a different website.

Do you process orders on your website? If yes, how can I add something to cart?

I just did a test transaction, and I can confirm that the Google Analytics tag works.

However, I wonder if you manually added an event with action Purchase. Please open our Events tab and look for such an event. If there is one, deactivate it, or select a different name for Action.

There was actually an event with the Purchase action.
    I deactivated it…

So I might have misunderstood how to parameter the plugin.

Now, I deactivated it, it will track Purchase automatically ?

    Plugin Author PixelYourSite

    (@pixelyoursite)

Yes, the plugin fires the Purchase event automatically, with all the Enhanced Ecommerce data.

Your manually added Purchase event didn’t have all the speciffic parameters, but was fired first. That was probably the cause of the problem.

Make sure you delete it, or change the name of the action to something else.

Hi, I just want to let you know that the test transactions I made yesterday have properly been tracked in Google Analyticcs…

All this is just my misunderstanding of the parameters, so sorry for the disturbance, and thanks a lot for spendind time helping me

No problem, I am glad is working fine.
