Vimeo Embed Block not working

    The Vimeo Embed block in wordpress 5.4 is faulty.

    1. It displays two control bars – the one from vimeo embedded player, and another one over the top. This looks messy, but importantly – Only the top one works.
    This is important because:

    2. Only the embedded player controls support vimeo ‘chapter’ functionality. The chapter options are visible, but can’t be used. – so viewers cannot skip to chapters.

    3. The chapters and player controls work properly if using the classic editor, or using the embed code directly as HTML, but if using the Vimeo embed block the above problems occur.

    This embed code works using html editor:

    <iframe src="https://player.vimeo.com/video/406751451" width="640" height="564" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; fullscreen" allowfullscreen></iframe>

    you will see – there is no conflicting player controls, and the chapter functionality works. There are many other vimeo videos with chapters to choose from to test – I have tried several, all are affected by this issue with the block editor.

    Could someone look at this please?

    Hi @chrisscottuk! I took a look and I’m not sure I an reproduce the issue. Embedding the video you linked works for me both in the editor and on the frontend, and appears to show chapters correctly. Can you expand on which part isn’t working? Perhaps share a screenshot?
