Hi, I would need some help on a topic that’s bothering me..

    My wordpress blog’s name is:
    flow’s blog

But when I receive an e-mail notification from wordpress, it says:
    flow ' s blog

In case you don’t see it the -> ‘ <- is missing
instead there is the code &#039

    Any ideas why?

    Thanks, Flow

  • Because unencoded quote marks are control characters in a lot of programming languages, markup languages, and data transmission protocols. Put one in the wrong place and things stop working. WP (looks like the PHPMailer class in wp-includes/class-phpmailer.php) is encoding the header to avoid such problems. I don’t know my email protocols well enough to tell you if it absolutely necessary or not.
