    I have this option disabled in the plugin settings, but the user IP address is still being collected and stored in the Custom Fields in the post.

    I just took some time out to re-test the IP-disabling functionality and it works normally on default WP setup. Where exactly are you seeing the IP address? And do you have any other plugins installed?

    It’s in the Custom Fields inside the post after it’s been created:

    user_submit_ip (along with the value)

    It’s not being displayed anywhere, but due to GDPR compliance I don’t want this stored in the database.

    It may be a bug, can you let me know the steps to recreate the issue on default WP install, so I can investigate and try to resolve asap. Note that the steps must be on default WP using the default theme and plugins (other than USP).

    If this is something I can do in Troubleshooting mode, I’ll try. It’s just the simplest version of your form with almost no fields enabled. Guest posts only to submit Name, Biography and images. No custom form editing to the code.

    Essentially, uncheck the box to “Disable IP tracking.” Saved the form. Submitted a new post. IP address is saved anyway. Checked the settings again and the box remains unchecked.

    Because this is a live site, I can’t set back to default.

    I tried the same thing on default WP install and no IP was included on the submitted post. So most likely the issue is a bug or something specific to your particular configuration. Try setting up a quick 5-minute WP install, leave all at defaults and try again should produce normal results.

    Thanks for following up. It doesn’t work correctly in the Free version for me, but it does work in the Pro version.
