posts page not showing any posts

No that hasn’t helped unfortunately.
I’ve decided to install a plugin temporarily to make the blog posts appear on the members page as I’d like the site to go live soon. However I’d still much rather do it with neve, so if there are any other suggestions to sort out this problem I’d welcome them, thanks

The post plugin I installed worked briefly but then stopped and now I cannot view any posts at except in edit mode. I’ve deleted the plugin but I get a 400 page if I try to view posts either directly or through page links. Please help this is desperate!

I’m really sorry but I can’t help much as I don’t have access to your site and this is most likely a configuration error on your site, which is not related to the theme. You can try having a look at https://www.wpexplorer.com/post-type-404-error/ and see if that helps.

Thank you for your suggestion I have sorted this 404 problem out through siteground now. They are also trying to see what is causing the original ‘no posts showing on the blog posts page’ issue. I will let you know if they solve it

That was the reply from siteground and now the blog posts do show up (page name is now Members) but not on my home devices, only external.
Siteground say they can’t help any more as this is a local problem. Which it must be a problem with my server, modem or something but I can’t work out what.

By sheer chance, this has been sorted by putting all my posts in a category.

I had not categorised any posts and all were still ‘uncategorised’.

I went to categories in the ‘edit post’ pages right-hand side bar then I added a new category (‘Book 1’ in my case, but it could be whatever you want) to the ‘add new category’.
As soon as I took each post out of ‘uncategorised’ and put them in the new category they instantly appeared on my posts page and the sidebar widget also functioned.

I didn’t know they needed a category to appear on the posts page but that’s what happened.

(I have still no idea why they had been visible on external devices, not my own computer & phone. But I hope this helps anyone else who might have a no post appearing on posts page problem)
