Error msg: User opted out of platform…

  • When trying to do a Facebook share (to a Page) of a Geo Directory Place post, I get an error message from Facebook:
    User opted out of platform: The action attempted is disallowed, because the user has opted out of Facebook platform.

    I have tried this in 2 different active Facebook accounts, same message. Doesn’t make sense to me.

    Any ideas?

    This is a sudden Facebook bug when sharing to a Facebook Page you manage. It’s occurring regardless of whether you have opted out of Facebook Platform (the “Apps, Websites and Games” Facebook option here).

    Facebook is aware of the issue.

    Until Facebook fixes this, a workaround is to copy & paste the URL into the “Create Post” dialog on your Facebook Page.

    It is that Facebook has suddenly removed all apps. See if you correct it soon.

    I have the same issue at the moment. When trying to share an article from my website to my Facebook page I get the message “User opted out of platform: The action attempted is disallowed, because the user has opted out of Facebook platform”

    As i can understand You cant do any thing about this error as i can see this video explaining !
