Cannot login with OpenID

  • I have recently installed WordPress 2.8.4 on a free host and OpenID 3.3.1 plugin. But I cannot login using OpenID.

    – I entered yahoo.com as OpenID

    – Browser is redirected to https://open.login.yahoo.com/openid/op/start?z={some_hash_code} and Yahoo asks me if I want to signin to seriousmatters.co.cc using my Yahoo ID and I clicked [Agree]

    – Browser is redirected back to my WP login screen: https://www.seriousmatters.co.cc/blog/wp-login.php?finish_openid=1&identity_url=https%3A{some_hash}&redirect_to=https://www.seriousmatters.co.cc/blog/wp-admin/&_wpnonce={some_hash}

    – And I am still not logged in.

    – I repeated the above using my Google account and this time I am not even redirected to Google to confirm signing in.

    – I upgraded WordPress to 2.8.5 but still doesn’t work.

    The following is the troubleshooting status information from OpenID settings. Not sure if Curl and XRDS-Simple errors are related. Please advice.

    I created a new OpenID account at myopenid.com and tried to use the new ID to log into my blog at https://www.seriousmatters.co.cc/blog/wp-login.php

    But still cannot log in. Browser redirect back to login screen as if nothing happens. Can someone try to login to confirm whether its me or wp-openid?

    It seems people are requesting help here but no body answers. Is this forums not the official place for the wp-openid plugin? or just dead forums?

    I’m having the same issue. Using WordPress 2.8.6 and OpenID plugin 3.3.2.

    When I try to log in with my OpenID it redirects me straight back to the login page.
