Can I use {order_number} instead of {order_id}?

    Hi,

    I have a plugin that renumbers Woocommerce order numbers to be sequential instead of based on the post number.

    Can I use the {order_number} variable in the email I send to customers instead of {order_id}?

    I have sent a test email to myself but when I use {order_number} in the email body it just says {order_number} in the email instead of the actual order number.

    Is this because the test email isn’t based on an actual order? Will {order_number} work in a real email sent to a customer?

    Thanks for the interest in our plugin!

    There is no {order_number} variable in our plugin. So, it won’t work.

    Please try using {order_id} – your renumbering plugin should replace it with the correct order number.
