    Hi there,

after i deactivated and reactivated the plugin, i can’t view my already created events in the backend and i can’t add new events.

The plugin menu only shows: Keywords, Settings, Help, Add-Ons

But in the frontend the events are still displayed normally: https://lg-swm.de/termine/

Does someone have the same problem or can you imagine what the reason is?

Thank you very much for your support,
    Lilli

    Hi @lmoll1192

Sorry to hear that you are having an issue with the plugin and thanks for reporting it.

We have had similar reports and we are investigating what could be causing this.
One of the theories is that during update the plugin gets deactivated for some reason, but when you go to the plugins page it still shows as active.

You can try the following things:
    1. Go to the plugins page and deactivate The Events Calendar. Then reactivate it.
    2. On the plugins page select the checkbox next to TEC and another plugin, and bulk-deactivate them, then activate TEC.
    3. Log in to your server and manually delete wp-content/the-events-calendar folder and then reinstall the plugin from Plugins > Add new.

Please check if any of these help solve it.

    Cheers,
    Andras

Same here, in the side menu I can only see tag, setting, help and Addons.

    Hi @bcreativeanddesign

Can / did you try the above steps?

    A.

I’ve tried all the options you mention and the problem continues

@aguseo Thank you for your ideas! I tried #1 and #2, but they did not solve the issue.

If I will try #3, my already created events will still be there, right?

    Best

    Hi @lmoll1192

Yes, if you delete the plugin, your events will still be there.

However we do always recommend backing up your site first, just in case!

Let us know how that goes!

    Thanks,
    Jaime

    Hi @lmoll1192 @elcibernetico @bcreativeanddesign,

We might have identified the source of this issue. If all goes well, then a release will come next week that fixes this.

Sorry for your troubles and thanks for your patience!

After you backup and update we’d be happy to hear from you if it solved your issue.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hi,
We just wanted to let you know that a fix has been released for this issue!
Please try updating and let us know if you are experiencing any further issues. As always, we recommend running updates on your?staging site?before doing so on your live site, just to be on the safe side.
Thanks again for your patience while we worked on getting this fixed!

    Sorry for the delay.

Actually when the problem started I downgraded to the previous version and that fixed the problem. When the second update came out I upgraded again and everything was working fine.

I haven’t added any new events lately because of the COVID-19. I know that there have been more updates and they were all successfully applied. Have to check again soon.

    Hi @elcibernetico

Based on the month-long silence here I take it everything works well, so I’m going to close this as resolved.

If you bump into any issues please open a new thread. Thanks!

    Cheers,
    Andras
