    Hello,

After installing Webp Express on my website, ~80% of all my images didn’t show anymore (on posts, homepage and pages). Some images are still displayed though I don’t understand why these images specifically and why most images disappeared.

The problem was still there even after uninstalling Webp Express AND doing a backup restoration of my website (from before installing Webp Express).

Also, I don’t see images displayed on the Media library on the WordPress backend.

If I try to upload a new image, it is also not displayed.

    If I go to the image’s url, I get a 404 error.

I have run out of ideas on what to do, can you please help? This is an issue that I’ve never seen before. Thank you.

Up, I still have this problem even after deleting the plugin and purging cache. Can anyone help?

My problem is exactly the same as described here but I couldn’t resolve it:

SOLVED : ok guys, I’ll leave this here in case anyone encounters the same problem.

I went to /www/wp-content/uploads and deleted the contents of the .htaccess file in that folder, leaving a blank .htaccess file.

In this file, there were only rules from Webp express, so I think I haven’t deleted anything from any other plug-in. If you see other rules from other plug-ins, please be careful not to delete them.

Now all my images are displayed correctly.
