TOC is adding duplicate sections and breaking page

  • Hi @shazahm1hotmailcom !

    On latest version of the plugin it just keeps adding duplicates list items and anchors of the same section. This ends up breaking the page as you can see here https://www.digitoucan.com/pinterest-destination-touristique/ : (the only post where this occures)

    If you inspect the page, you’ll see that the buggy TOC items in question have li#ez-toc-height-test.

    Can you fix it ? It was working perfectly before I update to version 2.xx

    Can you please update to the latest version to see if the issue persists?

    I’m having the exact same problem and it seems like it’s limited to just one page. Super annoying. I’ve tried copy/pasting the blocks to a new page and the same problem persists. Rearranged the blocks, same thing. Can’t see anything in the actual page that’s causing this to happen. Definitely destroyed that page’s SEO.

    I can say for sure it’s not limited to the newest version, as I’ve seen this before in previous versions but I somehow fixed it. Now, it’s back again and I just updated to the newest version and it’s duplicating 2/3 of the page.

    Otherwise, it’s a good plugin.

    Hi Steven,

    Thanks for the update, I updated it, I cleaned cache, but I still have the issue.
    I also tried with cache plugin deactivated, no effect.

    odd, I can not think of a single reason for that to occur. A temp TOC item is added on purpose so the proper height of the item can be calculated, but it is immediately removed. For some reason on you site, that remove never happens so the heading keeps getting duplicated. I am sorry, but I am at a loss!

    Not the widget… but, you could try Widget Logic or Widget Options plugin. They add options to widgets to control which pages a widget should display.
